Internationally renowned oboe soloist, Tom Boyd, whose work has been heard in films such as Schindler's List, Indiana Jones, Titanic, and Forest Gump, gathered a group of world class musicians and invited some of Hollywood's most talented composers to write arrangements of well-known melodies to showcase the group’s individual and collective talents. The Hollywood Soloists are a unique collection of artists that share a passion for reaching a wide-ranging audience through their performing.

Every performance utilizes the combination of flute, oboe, piano, cello and double bass artistry. Founding member, Tom Boyd, is one of the most heard oboists today. Boyd has been a featured oboist in over 1,400 motion picture soundtracks including Forrest Gump, Beauty and the Beast, and Castaway, all while putting his signature Oboe sound on touching movies such as The Bucket List, Schindler’s List, and Charlie Wilson’s War. He has performed on the Oscars and the Grammys, appeared on The Tonight Show with Neil Diamond, and has polished solos captured inside hundreds of recording sessions for various artists such as Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler and Natalie Cole.
A native of Pasadena, CA, Boyd attended The Juilliard School of Music and at the age of 22 won the First Oboe position in the Honolulu Symphony. After ten years in Hawaii, Boyd came back to break into the film industry. Soon after, he was heard in the hit movies, “Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom”, “The Right Stuff”, and John Williams’ “The River”.
